What is our mission?

We believe that every Christian's focus should boil down to these two things:

- To love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
- To love our neighbor as ourselves.

Mark 12:29-31
Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. 30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

Our primary emphasis is worship. It's from the life that comes from being in the presence of the Lord that the burden, vision, and excitement to reach out to others will arise. It happens because the heart of God is to reach the lost and the hurting. When we're in His presence, He will impart and impress His heart into the hearts of those who are near Him.

What's up with our name?

Hand of Mercy refers to the hand of Jesus! It is by His mercy and compassion that we are forgiven, saved, and healed!

Mark 1:41
Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!"

Matt 20:33-34
They said to Him, "Lord, we want our eyes to be opened." 34 Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him

Jesus Christ touched a lot people when He was here on the planet. Jesus touched people physically. He touched them emotionally. He touched them spiritually. We want to be His hands and feet and to bring His touch to others.

What kind of church are we?

We believe in the five-fold ministries. We believe God is raising up apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.

Eph 4:11-13
And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the lives of believers today and that every member of the body of Christ needs to be operating in the spiritual gifts given them by the Lord.

Prayer is the key

We believe prayer is essential! Prayer is the key to revival. Prayer is instrumental to accomplishing God's desire upon the earth. Prayer should be an important part of every church, Bible study, missions effort, etc.

Isa 56:7
Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations."
